Production has resumed at Nyrstar following an incident in the TSL Furnace in August. Investigations into the incident are continuing.

The TSL Furnace is back in production.
There are no outstanding statutory notices.
Investigations are continuing and SafeWork SA will continue to work with Nyrstar.

SafeWork SA is continuing its investigations into an incident at Nyrstar on 3 August in which molten material and gas escaped from a large furnace.
Nyrstar is co-operating with SafeWork SA to ensure compliance is achieved on a number of safety issues identified after SafeWork SA’s initial post-incident inspection.
