Regulatory burden and red tape reduction options for the model Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations
The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) has initiated a national consideration of the model Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations with a view to recommending options to reduce regulatory burden and red tape by the end of 2014.
South Australia, along with the other states and territories, is currently undertaking local consultation on an issues paper and Consultation Regulation Impact Statement, which focuses on the specific areas COAG asked Ministers to examine. Submissions to the national consideration of the model Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations have now closed.
