Jaruzelski v Palmer MO and Palmer MM [2016] SAIRC 10
15/4/16 MICHAEL PALMER: was convicted and fined $3,000 plus costs after pleading guilty to breaches of s23 of the Explosive Act 1936, and rr5(1) and 6(1)(b) of the Explosives (Fireworks) Regulations 2001.

 Mr Michael Palmer:

  • was the occupier of a place where explosives were kept other than in a duly licensed magazine or on premises that were licensed for the storage of explosives,
  • kept prohibited fireworks without the written approval of the Director, and
  • had fireworks, other than general use fireworks, in his possession or custody.

 Mr Matthew Palmer:

  • kept prohibited fireworks without the written approval of the Director, and
  • had fireworks, other than general use fireworks, in his possession or custody.
