Ideas for reducing injuries in your workplace will be flowing when some of the world's leading experts gather in Adelaide for the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia’s annual conference in November.

Musculoskeletal and psychological injuries are among the most common workplace injuries reported. These are often attributed to work design issues, workload and a lack of suitable equipment for the tasks.

Process and design improvements can be implemented to reduce these injuries through the use of a human factors and ergonomic approaches.

Sponsored by SafeWork SA, the national conference of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society of Australia (HFESA) brings professionals from around the world together to share ideas and insights from research, practice, and policy.

HFESA 2023 will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 19-22 November.

It will feature lectures, keynotes, paper presentations and workshops, together with the opportunity to meet your Human Factors and Ergonomic heroes and build new connections and networks.

Keynote speakers include Dr Patrick Neumann from Toronto Metropolitan University, Dr Christopher Reid from Boeing USA and Professor Jillian Dorrian from University of South Australia.

The conference will also showcase applications and techniques across a range of sectors and domains showing the value and vitality of the profession.

There will also be plenty of social events including a Welcome Reception on the Sunday evening and a Gala Dinner on the Tuesday night at the Adelaide Zoo.
